How to Add Options and Countries to Your IB Account

If you need to update your trading permissions to include Options or additional countries like the USA and Australia, follow these steps.

  1. Log into your Client Portal at interactivebrokers.com.au

  2. Navigate to Account Settings > Trading Permissions
    ​

  3. Select Options from the product list

  4. Select USA as your country

    • You can add Australia (AUS) once your account has been approved
      ​

  5. Confirm changes

  6. Update your Trading Experience, Knowledge, and Number of Trades using values consistent with support from your trading advisor or desk
    ​

  7. When prompted, sign the form

  8. Click OK to continue

  9. Complete any required questionnaires, including:

    • Concentration Risk Questionnaire

    Use the recommended answers provided by your advisor to ensure approval.
